Everyone require UAE visa to entre in UAE and mostly people are confused that which visas are available in UAE, for how long, cost of visa and requirement for UAE visa. UAE VISIT VISA TYPES AND REQUIREMENT:

The Government of UAE issues following visas. Read about visas, their requirement, cost and process for applying visa.

1. eVisa:

Government of UAE provides different ways to apply visa online, few are:

  • Online Visit Visa – such visa require sponsorship from a UAE citizen, resident or from an investor. UAE Nationals and residents can apply visa online for their families, relatives and friends for 90 days and 30 days visit visa or entry permits. They can apply visa through Ministry of Interior website portal or they can use MOI mobile apps for both Android & iPhone. They can also use following services online:
    • Long-term single entry visa – tourist (90 days).
    • Short term single entry visa – tourist (30 days).
    • Entry visa for domestic helpers (sponsored only by UAE or GCC citizens).
  • Online Visa through eChannels – this sort of visa can be applied or can be renewed by UAE Nationals, residents or firms only through an online system (eChannels) working under MOI.
  • eVisa of UAE for expatriates in GCC – GCC Nationals do not require visa or sponsor to visit UAE but if you are not GCC National or Citizen then you must need visa before arriving to UAE.

2. Visit Visa

Visit visa can be sponsored by the family, friends, relatives or by private companies through relevant Government Department, General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) which comes under MOI, having offices in every Emirates of UAE.Visit visa process take few days almost 1 working week minimum.



  • Long-Term Visit Visa – 90 days (Individual)–Fully filled eForm (fee should be paid) with sign and stamped and clear passport size picture (white background) of the sponsored person approved by the authorized signatory.
    • Required Documents
      • Sponsor (resident) passport copy (must be clear)
      • Sponsored person passport copy (must be clear)
      • Salary certificate or job contract copy of sponsor (resident)
      • Family relationship proof (kinship)
      • Travel insurance
    • Fee
      • e-DNRD Fee = 1,110 AED
      • e-form fee = 1,120 AED
      • Security Deposit = 1,000 AED (refundable upon departure of the sponsored person)
    • Visa Validation – After issuing of visa it will be valid for 60 days from the date of issue and valid for 90 days from the day arrival


  • Short-Term Visit Visa – 30 days (Individuals) – fully filled eForm (fee should be paid) with sign and stamped and clear passport size picture (white background) of the sponsored person approved by the authorized signatory.

      • Sponsored person passport copy (must be clear).

Visa on Arrival:

If you are National of the below mentioned Countries in the table then you do not need to arrange UAE visit visa in advance. When you land in UAE Airport from Immigration your passport will be stamped for 30 days visit visa for free.

And if you are National of below mentioned tables then your passport will be stamped from Immigration with multiple entry 90 days visit visa which will be valid for six months from the date of issue.

UAE Residency Visa Types:



  • Employment Visa – most common and well familiar form of UAE residency visa. This type is issued by employer, employer take care of all the paper work and cost.
  • Family residence visa UAE – Anyone who have valid UAE residency visa can sponsor his / her family and he/she will be sponsor of his/her family and valid for two years and can be renew.
  • Investor residence visa UAE– Investor visa can be obtained by the owners / partners of the company or business register in UAE. Investor visa is valid for three years and can be renew as well.
  • Maid residence visa UAE – UAE Nationals and Residents can also sponsor maid for their homes but there are some rules and regulations from Government of UAE which you have to follow.
  • Relative residence visa UAE – residents of UAE can sponsor their parents, parents in law, brothers and sisters but they need to provide required documents and a special application need to be approved.
  • Student residence visa UAE – Students of colleges and Universities can also get UAE Student Visa and they will be bound for education only. Students of primary and secondary level are normally under sponsorship of their parents.
